“Il Dolce Conforto’s” second CD production…

… with the ensemble’s third programm: Salterio italiano! In November 2017, we recorded original salterio repertoire, played for the first time on an original salterio using both playing techniques (battuto with sticks and pizzicato with the fingers) in equal measure, moreover whilst played upon the first reliable replica of Italian salterio sticks worldwide. It was a great pleasure to work with Romina Basso (mezzo-soprano), Deniel Perer (harpsichord/organ), Nicola Paoli (violoncello), Manuel Tomadin (organ) and Markus Heiland (sound engineering)! “Salterio italiano” presents music from Northern to Southern Italy, starting from the Ospedale della Pietá in Venice, passing Bologna and Padre Martini, passing Rome and its famous salterio virtuoso in the 18th century Florido Ubaldi, and finally finishing in Naples with music by Girolamo Rossi and Vito Ugolino.
